Appearance of Pulmonary Embolus on CTPA

The key diagnostic findings of PE on CTPA are central or wall-adherent filling defects in the pulmonary arteries leading to either complete or partial obstruction. There are a number of mimickers of PE, which can be divided into anatomic and technical mimickers. Familiarity with these helps to avoid diagnostic errors.
