Three Chamber View

The three chamber view shows the aortic root and aortic valve, left ventricular outflow tract, mitral valve, and the anteroseptal and inferolateral walls of the left ventricle. A true coronal image is chosen through the aortic root and a plane is chosen that is perpendicular to the aortic valve plane.

Mouse over the three chamber view image to display labels.

The red line in the figure on the left represents the plane through which the three chamber image on the right is obtained.

AA = Ascending Aorta, AS = Anteroseptal wall, AV = Aortic Valve, IL = Inferolateral wall, LA = Left Atrium, LV = Left Ventricle, LVOT = Left Ventricular Outflow Tract, MV = Mitral Valve
