35 year old male status post surgery, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy for rectal cancer. New lesion in the liver concerning for metastatic disease. PET/CT ordered for restaging.
There is a 12 mm hypodense liver lesion at the junction of segments V and IVB demonstrating markedly increased FDG activity (maximum SUV 5.1 and average SUV 3.7) compatible with a solitary site of metastatic disease.
