Unilateral hernia, hydrocele, or groin
lump - for evaluation of clinically unapparent patent vaginal process on the
contralateral side
- Hernia suspected by history (patient,
parental, medical) but not confirmed by physical exam
- Question of hernia recurrence following
surgical repair (groin lump, pain, etc.)
- Evaluation of cryptorchidism and related
abnormalities
- Evaluation of hypospadias and related
abnormalities
