Inguinal Herniography (cont.)

Indications

  1. Unilateral hernia, hydrocele, or groin lump - for evaluation of clinically unapparent patent vaginal process on the contralateral side

  2. Hernia suspected by history (patient, parental, medical) but not confirmed by physical exam

  3. Question of hernia recurrence following surgical repair (groin lump, pain, etc.)

  4. Evaluation of cryptorchidism and related abnormalities

  5. Evaluation of hypospadias and related abnormalities
