Billroth II Gastrojejunostomy

Following subtotal gastrectomy (gastric remnant), the duodenal stump is closed and an anastomosis is created at the proximal stomach with a loop of jejunum approximately 15cm from the ligament of Treitz.This results in afferent (duodenum to stomach) and efferent (stomach to jejunum) limbs.
