    1)  What valvular abnormality is seen in the gradient cine below?

    1. Tricuspid Regurgitation
    2. Tricuspid Stenosis
    3. Mitral Regurgitation
    4. Mitral Stenosis
    5. Pulmonary Stenosis

Answer: A. Tricuspid Regurgitation. This cine shows a regurgitant jet passing from the right ventricle to the right atrium, along with severe right atrial dilation.

    2)  What abnormality would you expect with longstanding aortic regurgitation?

    1. Aortic dissection
    2. Left ventricular dilatation
    3. Left ventricular hypertrophy
    4. Right ventricular hypertrophy

Answer: B. Left ventricular dilatation. Regurgitant lesions typically produce dilation due to volume overload. Stenotic lesions result in ventricular hypertrophy and if longstanding and severe can result in ventricular failure leading to ventricular dilatation.
