Transverse Avulsion Patellar Fracture

Transverse Avulsion Patellar Fracture Caused by indirect force generated by the quadriceps tendon. Transverse fractures of the patella are much more common than longitudinal or comminuted fractures. As with all patellar fractures, it is important to differentiate between fracture and bipartite or multipartite patella.
