Hyperplastic PolypsAlso known as an inflammatory polyp, the hyperplastic form constitutes 75-90% of gastric polyps. Hyperplastic polyps are histologically characterized by dilated glands lined by gastric epithelium with mixed acute and chronic inflammatory infiltrates. They are typically multiple in number and may be located anywhere in the stomach. Hyperplastic polyps have no malignant potential. |
