58 year old male smoker with persistent right lower lobe infiltrate despite several rounds of antibiotics. PET/CT ordered for evaluation of lung process.

Broad heterogeneous regions of airspace disease within the right middle and right lower lobes with low level (maximum SUV 1.6, average SUV 1.1) FDG activity most compatible with an inflammatory or infectious process.
